In 2 Chronicles 25, we encounter King Amaziah — a man who began his reign with obedience, yet failed to follow the Lord with a whole heart. Though he initially listened to God's Word and acted with courage, pride and compromise eventually led him into idolatry, defeat, and destruction. Amaziah's life teaches us that partial obedience is disobedience, and that success without humility leads to downfall. The Lord desires not outward conformity alone, but a heart fully devoted to Him. In this study, we will see: • The danger of half-hearted devotion • Why trusting God matters more than earthly security • How pride can grow after spiritual success • The blessing of humility and wholehearted obedience • How Christ, our perfect King, obeyed fully where earthly kings fail Christ calls us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength — and by His grace, He enables us to do so.
